Come join us, outside in the fresh air, for a House Plant Swap on. Bring your plant cuttings, potted plants, and plant accessories to share with others, meet other plant nerds, expand your plant collection, eat some snacks and check out McMurtrey Farm's brand new plant boutique!

How does a plant swap work?

​

Each attendee brings plant cuttings, potted plants, or plant accessories to share with others. We will provide some table space where you can place all your goodies. There will be time to look around at all of the tables to see if there are plants you are interested in and point people in the direction of your plants. Then it will be time to start trading!

​

New to the plant world? Bring something simple like some succulents cuttings or babies. Plant enthusiasts-bring some of your special stuff to share with the rest of the collectors. Remember that everyone is in a different place in their plant journey so be prepared to chat, trade and learn. Learning is half the fun. Please, no plants for sale, just trades.

This is not a requirement, but it may be helpful to prep your plants or plant accessories with labels, wrap cuttings in wet paper towels, and bring a nursery box to hold all your goodies.

​

A $5 fee will help defray snack costs and secure your place. Once you register, more details will be forthcoming.

​

$5 per person payable upon registration via Eventbrite. Registration is only complete once you receive a payment confirmation email.

Wait! What about COVID!

​

Our top priority is to make sure this is a fun and safe event. McMurtrey Farm is a Christmas tree farm that has expanded to add a new Indoor Plant Boutique and a Pumpkin Patch.

For the Plant Swap, we will be using the outdoor space that is usually reserved for the tree lot during the Christmas season. We plan on using the outdoor space, limiting the amount of attendees, and enforcing all COVID regulations to ensure the safety of this event.
